The MADPAD Apartment Renovation Journal

This is what the kitchen looked like before renovation.  I think these cabinets were standard Home Depot stock.

Notice the broken, leaking windows.  Notice the rain-damaged window sills.  In fact, there was no window sill.  This apartment was so neglected that we had to rebuild even basic window sill structures.

Check out the vent – to nowhere.  Where did the air vent out to?  Nowhere.  Just stayed in the kitchen.
