The MADPAD Apartment Renovation Journal

The image above is of our new cabinets over the sink.  It’s been several weeks since we last posted, but we wanted you to see what we have accomplished since we moved in, in July. Here’s some pics of our newly renovated  kitchen.  We installed new windows with white frames, new light fixtures, new kitchen sink, new faucet, new cabinets and counter tops, new refrigerator, repaired several electrical outlets, repaired a gaping hole in the tin ceiling, replaced the old, over-sized ceiling fan that was left behind, and added a pot rack over the stove.

Notice the Pot Rack over the stove. We had that in our old apartment and it looks even better in this one with the brick background. Hubz being the main cook in the house, decided we needed a light over the stove. He got all the parts from different hardware stores and decided to build his own drop down light fixture to hang over the stove. You can’t see it in this photo, which was taken before he built it. I’ll add it in a bit. Check out our tin ceiling and lighting fixture. We also asked our carpenter gurus to build us a little cabinet in between the stove and the pantry on the left. We bought a door pull to match the oven pull. Looks good!
